Civil Engineering Design Engineer (M/F) (J25-299)

Location: Auvergne–Rhône–Alpes
Start date: Immediate
Sector: Industry

Context

As part of complex civil engineering projects (industry, energy, sensitive infrastructure), the Civil Engineering Design Engineer works on the design, sizing, and modelling of structures. They play a key technical role, with partial responsibility in technical decisions, and collaborate closely with architects, geotechnical engineers, and other project contributors.

Missions

Technical Studies

  • Carry out design and execution studies: calculations, sizing, and modelling of reinforced concrete structures.

  • Produce calculation notes, drawings, diagrams, and written documents (CCTP, DPGF, technical reports).

  • Study technical, regulatory, environmental, and seismic constraints in accordance with current standards.

  • Ensure compliance of structures with Eurocodes, DTU, and associated references.

Modelling & Calculation Tools

  • Model structures using Robot Structural Analysis, Advance Design, Sofistik, or equivalent software.

  • Perform simulations, load analysis, load paths, and stability checks.

Coordination & Technical Management

  • Collaborate with architects, geotechnicians, fluid specialists, methods teams, and contractors.

  • Participate in technical meetings and contribute to structural decisions.

  • Act as a partial technical reference for engineering analyses and decisions.

Tendering & Project Follow-Up

  • Participate in tender phases to propose optimized technical solutions.

  • Analyze documentation, identify risks, and propose relevant alternatives.

  • Contribute to the overall progress of the project and compliance with the specifications.

    • Graitec / Advance Design

  • Strong knowledge of standards: Eurocodes, seismic regulations, DTU.

  • Ability to perform complete execution calculations and structural analyses.

  • Understanding of interfaces between civil engineering / geotechnics / architecture / steel structures.

Personal Qualities

  • Rigour, precision, analytical and modelling skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, defend technical choices, and work in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Good writing skills for technical documentation and calculation notes.

  • Autonomy and sense of responsibility in assigned tasks.
