Role Overview
For a strategic port and free zone development project in Libya, we are seeking a senior Construction Manager to lead and supervise all on-site construction activities.
The Construction Manager will be responsible for ensuring that works are executed safely, efficiently and in compliance with contractual, technical and regulatory requirements, while maintaining strict control over schedule and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all construction activities across multiple disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, marine works).
- Ensure works are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Manage site teams, subcontractors and construction supervisors.
- Monitor progress against schedule and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and site safety regulations.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement and project management teams.
- Review construction methodologies and validate execution strategies.
- Report regularly on site performance, risks and mitigation measures.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience in construction.
- At least 5 years in a similar Construction Manager role, preferably in large-scale infrastructure, port or industrial projects.
- Strong background in managing multidisciplinary construction teams.
- Relevant professional certifications in construction management or engineering are considered an advantage.
- Proven experience in complex, high-value project environments.
