Context

As part of industrial projects in the energy sector, the Document Controller is responsible for managing, controlling, and distributing technical and contractual documentation.
The role ensures document traceability and quality throughout the project and guarantees compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and archive technical and contractual project documentation
  • Manage and update document folders (drawings, specifications, reports, contracts)
  • Check document compliance with project standards and procedures
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, contract management, and QA/QC teams
  • Track document versions and distribute documents to stakeholders
  • Contribute to the preparation of document tracking reports and dashboards
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to documentation

Required Profile

  • Education: Associate’s to Master’s degree (Bac +2 to Bac +5) in Document Management, Engineering, Construction, or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum 3 to 4 years in document control on industrial projects, ideally in the energy sector
  • Knowledge of project document standards and procedures
  • Ability to work in both English and French depending on project requirements

Key Skills

  • Project document control (review, archiving, distribution)
  • Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as SharePoint, Aconex, etc.
  • Accuracy, strong organizational skills, and compliance with procedures
  • Autonomy and ability to collaborate with multiple teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to summarize information
