Context :
As part of ongoing infrastructure and public works projects in French Guiana, we are looking for an Electrical Team Leader to supervise and carry out electrical works on site.
The position is strongly field-oriented and involves hands-on activities related to network connections, public lighting, and video surveillance systems, while coordinating a small operational team.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate a team of electricians on site.
- Carry out and oversee electrical connection works (networks and equipment).
- Install and maintain public lighting systems.
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of video surveillance systems.
- Organize daily work activities and allocate tasks to team members.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety rules, and site procedures.
- Read and interpret plans, diagrams, and technical documents.
- Monitor work progress and report to the site manager or project manager.
- Ensure quality of execution and compliance before handover.
Required Profile
- Technical background in electrical works (vocational training, technical diploma, or equivalent).
- Proven experience as an Electrical Team Leader or senior electrician in infrastructure projects.
- Strong hands-on experience in :
- Electrical network connections
- Public lighting installations
- Low-current systems such as video surveillance
- Ability to manage and guide a small operational team.
- Strong awareness of health & safety rules on construction sites.
- Team leader with an executive / operational role (no strategic decision-making).
- Autonomous, reliable, and well-organized.
Technical Skills
- Electrical installation and connection works.
