Context

As part of the commissioning or modernization of elevator installations, the elevator technician/adjuster works after the installation phase to ensure the final adjustment of the equipment. Their role is to fine-tune various technical parameters to guarantee proper operation, reliability, and compliance with safety requirements before handover to the client.

The position involves work on new construction sites, renovation projects, or modernization programs for existing installations. The work is mainly carried out on-site, with travel depending on the area of intervention.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out commissioning of elevators after installation or as part of modernization work

  • Perform technical adjustments on equipment: mechanical components, electrical systems, and control systems

  • Check the overall operation of the installation (doors, leveling accuracy, controls, safety systems, drives, etc.)

  • Configure and optimize installations to ensure smooth operation, reliability, and user comfort

  • Identify technical issues and perform diagnostics to correct malfunctions

  • Conduct technical tests and safety checks before validating the installation

  • Address any issues identified during inspections or pre-acceptance of the project

  • Collaborate with site teams, technicians, and inspection bodies during validation phases

  • Complete technical documentation and commissioning reports

  • Strictly apply safety regulations and technical procedures in force

Profile Required

  • Technical background in electrotechnics, industrial maintenance, automation, or elevator systems

  • Around 3 to 5 years of experience in the elevator field, particularly in adjustment, commissioning, or maintenance

  • Ability to work independently on-site and understand electromechanical and automated systems related to elevator installations

  • Strong technical rigor, analytical skills, and attention to detail to ensure precise and reliable adjustments

  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with site teams, clients, and inspection bodies

  • A valid driver’s license (Category B) may be required depending on the work area
