Environmental Manager (M/F) | Arras (J25-215)

Mission Context

As part of an industrial environmental assignment, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to support the QHSE Manager or Plant Director in overseeing all environmental aspects of the sites (food production, water treatment, waste management, energy, ICPE compliance).

Main Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Compliance and Environmental Monitoring

  • Ensure site compliance with ICPE (Installations Classified for Environmental Protection) regulations.

  • Conduct environmental compliance audits and formalize corrective action plans.

  • Maintain and update the register of legal obligations and ensure continuous environmental monitoring (water, air, soil, waste, noise, energy, etc.).

  • Prepare and follow up on DREAL inspections and internal audits.

2. Operational Environmental Management

  • Oversee waste management (source reduction, recovery, traceability, service providers).

  • Monitor water, energy, and effluent consumption, proposing reduction initiatives.

  • Contribute to the monitoring and optimization of industrial wastewater treatment plants.

  • Implement and track environmental performance indicators (Group KPIs).

3. Strategy and Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in defining and deploying the local environmental strategy in line with group objectives.

  • Identify and lead projects to reduce the environmental footprint (CO₂, energy, transport, packaging).

  • Support production teams in implementing best practices (training, awareness campaigns).

  • Contribute to the preparation of environmental reports, carbon assessments, and CSR reporting.

4. Reporting and Coordination

  • Ensure regular reporting to headquarters and group management.

  • Coordinate relationships with external stakeholders: authorities, service providers, laboratories, etc.

  • Work closely with maintenance, production, and QHSE departments.

Profile Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position within an industrial environment, ideally in food processing, chemical, water treatment, or high environmental impact facilities.

  • Strong expertise in ICPE regulations, waste management, and effluent control.

  • Solid knowledge of French and European environmental regulations.

  • Familiarity with environmental management systems (ISO 14001).

  • Proficiency with reporting tools and environmental software (Enablon, Tennaxia, advanced Excel).

  • Excellent coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
