Context

As part of a strategic port operations and management project in Libya, the company is seeking experienced Inspectors to support oversight, compliance, and operational excellence. The role requires seasoned professionals capable of ensuring adherence to technical, regulatory, safety, and quality standards within a complex port environment.

Position Summary

The Inspector will be responsible for supervising inspection activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, regulatory frameworks, and international port standards. The role requires hands-on site presence, technical judgment, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections across port infrastructure, operations, and related facilities
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor contractor performance and quality of work
  • Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, HSE teams, and stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to international port and maritime standards
  • Support commissioning and operational readiness activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Maritime Studies, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline)
  • Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar inspection or supervisory role
  • Experience in port, maritime, logistics, or large infrastructure projects is strongly preferred
