Role Overview
For a strategic project in Libya involving the operational management and oversight of a port and associated free zone, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate large-scale infrastructure and operational activities.
The role requires strong leadership capabilities, extensive experience in complex infrastructure environments, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in an international context.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all project phases related to port and free zone operations and development.
- Coordinate engineering, operational and administrative teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Manage project scope, budget, schedule and performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and safety requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact with stakeholders, authorities and partners.
- Monitor risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Provide structured reporting to senior management and project sponsors.
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement within the port and free zone environment.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience.
- At least 5 years in a similar leadership role, preferably within port infrastructure, logistics, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Strong experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- PMP certification is considered an advantage.
- Proven ability to operate in international and high-complexity environments.
