Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead major building projects within the Gulf region, including KSA. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep construction supervision expertise, strong contractual acumen, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments across multiple projects. This is a leadership-level position for someone who has already delivered large-scale building developments within a top-tier consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight for large building projects from inception through completion
  • Lead construction supervision teams, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Manage client relationships at a senior level and act as the primary point of escalation
  • Oversee contractor and supplier performance, ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled
  • Administer contracts, variations, claims, and dispute resolution processes
  • Ensure adherence to international engineering standards and applicable codes
  • Supervise planning and scheduling activities (Primavera or equivalent tools)
  • Monitor project financial performance and risk exposure
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent projects where required
  • Lead internal reporting and executive-level presentations

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering or Architecture)
  • PMP Certification
  • Master’s Degree in Construction Management Engineering (preferred)
  • Chartered Professional Engineer certification or equivalent (preferred)

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of construction supervision methodologies
  • Strong command of various contract types (FIDIC and equivalent frameworks)
  • Deep understanding of RFP processes and tender evaluation
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English
  • High-level proficiency in planning and scheduling software (Primavera or similar)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously

Experience Requirements

  • Overall : Minimum 13 years in the construction industry (building sector)
  • At least 13 years within a reputable regional or multinational consultancy
  • Demonstrated expertise in construction supervision of building projects
  • Delivered no fewer than two large-scale building developments
  • Extensive exposure to:
    • Client management
    • Contractor and supplier coordination
    • Contract administration
    • Quality assurance and control
    • Claims and dispute management
  • Proven industry experience within the Gulf region and KSA
