Context

As part of a large-scale port operations and management project in Libya, the company is seeking Site Engineers across all technical disciplines to oversee on-site execution and ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project requirements. Disciplines may include Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, Structural, Infrastructure, Utilities, and related fields. This is a senior-level field position requiring extensive site experience in complex infrastructure environments.

Position Summary

The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising daily site activities, coordinating contractors, ensuring technical compliance, and supporting timely project delivery. The role requires strong technical authority, hands-on field presence, and coordination capability across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor site execution activities
  • Ensure works are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors
  • Review method statements and technical submittals
  • Monitor quality control procedures and inspections
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards and site safety regulations
  • Identify technical issues and implement corrective actions
  • Track progress and report site performance
  • Support commissioning and handover activities
  • Liaise with planning, cost control, and project management teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar Senior Site Engineer position
  • Proven experience in large infrastructure, port, maritime, or industrial projects
