Context
The Site Engineer plays a key role in telecom deployment projects by overseeing on-site activities related to civil works, installation, and network integration. The position focuses on ensuring efficient execution of site operations, from initial surveys and design validation to equipment installation and commissioning. Working closely with field teams and stakeholders, the Site Engineer ensures that all activities are delivered in line with technical requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Missions & Responsibilities
Site Operations & Supervision
- Lead and coordinate field teams (riggers and technicians) during site activities
- Supervise civil works, installation, and on-site execution to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Conduct site surveys and support validation of technical design when needed
Installation & Commissioning
- Plan and organize installation and commissioning phases across assigned sites
- Install, configure, and align telecom equipment according to technical specifications
- Ensure proper power-up and functionality of installed equipment
- Manage integration and commissioning of newly deployed or upgraded systems
- Prepare and maintain all required technical documentation related to installation and testing
Testing, Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform system checks, audits, and technical tests to validate performance
- Identify and resolve technical issues, including emergency interventions when required
- Support upgrade and maintenance activities to ensure network reliability
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards on site
- Monitor and report any safety or quality deviations and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Secure the work area to prevent unauthorized access and ensure safe site conditions
- Follow all internal procedures as well as client-specific quality requirements
Reporting & Coordination
- Track progress of site activities and provide updates to the implementation coordinator
- Ensure completion reports and documentation are accurate and submitted on time
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution
Profile Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, IT, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in telecom deployment, installation, or field operations
- Certification or formal training in installation and commissioning of telecom equipment is a strong advantage
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of telecom networks, installation practices, and site engineering
- Knowledge of Ethernet standards, power systems, and cable testing procedures
- Ability to work with technical documentation, plans, and engineering drawings

- Strong team player with effective communication and coordination skills
- Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proactive and eager to learn and develop technical expertise
Languages
- Good command of English (written and spoken), especially for technical and safety communication
Work Conditions & Availability
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, nights, and weekends when required
- Ability to work on-site and outdoors in various environmental conditions
