Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior HSSE Engineer to lead and oversee all Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) activities on a large-scale infrastructure project.
The role is critical to ensure that all project operations are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations, international standards and internal HSSE requirements, while promoting a strong safety culture across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSSE strategies, policies and procedures for the project.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international HSSE standards.
- Monitor site activities and enforce safety rules across all contractors and teams.
- Lead risk assessments and ensure effective mitigation measures are in place.
- Conduct audits, inspections and incident investigations.
- Promote and drive a strong safety culture across all levels of the project.
- Coordinate HSSE activities with project management, contractors and stakeholders.
- Ensure proper reporting of HSSE performance, incidents and KPIs.
- Support emergency response planning and crisis management activities.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Health & Safety or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience.
- At least 5 years in a similar senior HSSE role on large-scale projects.
- Strong experience in infrastructure or construction environments.
- In-depth knowledge of international HSSE standards and regulations.
- Relevant HSSE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent) are highly advantageous.
- Experience in complex and international project environments is preferred.
