Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Port Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration and optimization of port-related systems within a large-scale port and free zone infrastructure project.
The role requires strong technical expertise in port systems and the ability to ensure full integration between engineering disciplines, operational requirements and construction constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and integration of port systems and operational infrastructure.
- Define technical requirements for port equipment and systems (cargo handling, terminal operations, utilities).
- Ensure coordination between mechanical, electrical and control systems.
- Review and validate engineering deliverables and technical specifications.
- Support procurement processes and evaluate vendor technical proposals.
- Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of port systems.
- Identify system-level risks and ensure mitigation strategies are implemented.
- Interface with engineering, construction, operators and client stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime and infrastructure standards.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Marine or related field).
- Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience.
- At least 5 years in a similar senior role on port or large infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience in port systems, terminal operations or maritime infrastructure.
- Relevant certifications are considered an advantage.
- Experience in international project environments is preferred.
