Context
As part of a strategic nuclear industrial project related to the manufacturing of sumps for the EPR2, the IWE Welding Manager ensures regulatory, standards, and technical compliance of welding operations.
They play a key role in securing manufacturing processes in line with nuclear requirements and associated quality standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Management and supervision of welding activities within the project scope
- Ensuring compliance with applicable nuclear standards and codes
- Definition, validation, and monitoring of welding procedures (WPS, PQR)
- Supervision of welder and process qualifications
- Interface with methods, quality, production, and inspection teams
- Participation in technical reviews and decisions related to welding processes
- Monitoring non-conformities, corrective actions, and feedback/lessons learned
- Contribution to compliance with quality, safety, and schedule requirements
Profile Required
- Education: Certified International Welding Engineer (IWE)
- Experience: Minimum 7 to 10 years in a demanding industrial environment
- Proven experience on nuclear projects, ideally EPR or similar
- In-depth knowledge of nuclear welding standards and codes
- Ability to work on manufacturing projects with high quality and safety stakes
