Context
As part of major transport infrastructure and railway projects in Saudi Arabia, ProjecTTech is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to lead the coordination, integration, and quality control of multidisciplinary 3D digital models.
Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, the BIM Coordinator will ensure model consistency, compliance with BIM processes, and effective resolution of technical interfaces between Civil Engineering, Trackwork, Systems, and Electromechanical disciplines
Main Responsibilities
- Lead BIM coordination and spatial synthesis activities involving engineering teams, designers, and subcontractors.
- Organize and facilitate BIM coordination meetings and monitor resulting technical actions.
- Perform clash detection and identify geometric and technical interferences between disciplines.
- Coordinate and track clash resolution through to closure.
- Ensure strict implementation of the project BIM Protocol, standards, procedures, and workflows.
- Review delivered models for compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Manage the structuring, assembly, consistency, and regular updating of the federated model.
- Support modelers and draftspersons in resolving BIM and CAD software-related issues.
- Act as the technical interface between production teams and the Head of Engineering for deliverable reviews and validation.
- Support BIM data flow management and the extraction of quantities and technical information required for project monitoring and decision-making.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Strong expertise in BIM coordination, federated models, and clash detection.
- Excellent understanding of multidisciplinary interfaces involving Civil Engineering, Trackwork, Systems, and Electromechanical works.
- Good knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, workflows, and quality-control procedures.
- Ability to review and validate models against project requirements.
- Ability to extract and structure model data and quantities for engineering and project purposes.
- Good understanding of complex infrastructure and railway project environments.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction, Infrastructure Engineering, or a qualified Architect.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in BIM coordination or a comparable technical role.
- Previous experience on complex infrastructure, heavy transport, or railway projects is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and technical interfaces.
- Comfortable working in an international and multicultural project environment.
