Context
As part of new construction and rehabilitation projects for bridge structures, we are looking for a Bridge Works Engineer to work in Construction Supervision (MOE – Project Management for Execution).
The position consists of ensuring the technical and operational monitoring of the works, coordinating the various stakeholders, and guaranteeing the proper execution of the operations in compliance with quality, safety, cost, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities & Duties
Work Supervision
- Ensure the execution monitoring of works on bridge structures.
- Verify the compliance of the completed works with the studies, contracts, and technical specifications.
- Monitor the progress of the works and compliance with the schedule.
- Identify technical deviations and propose appropriate corrective actions.
Construction Supervision (MOE)
- Carry out site supervision duties as the representative of the project management team.
- Participate in site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
- Coordinate the contractors and the various project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Coordination & Quality
- Monitor the quality of the completed structures.
- Follow up on testing, inspections, and acceptance operations.
- Participate in the clearance of punch list items and the follow-up of non-conformities.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules on the construction site.
Reporting & Project Control
- Produce progress reports for the project management.
- Monitor cost, schedule, and quality performance indicators.
- Anticipate risks and raise alerts in case of deviations.
- Contribute to effective coordination between the design and construction teams.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Construction Supervision (MOE) on bridge structure projects.
- Ability to independently supervise bridge, viaduct, or other bridge structure works.
- Experience in new construction and/or rehabilitation of bridge structures.
- Good knowledge of site supervision procedures and applicable regulations is expected.
- Local presence in Guadeloupe is strongly preferred.
