Position Context

As part of electrical projects in industrial environments, infrastructure, or networks, the Electrical Design Engineer is involved in the analysis, design, and technical preparation phases of installations.

The role contributes to defining electrical solutions while ensuring their technical feasibility, compliance with project requirements, and proper integration with site and construction constraints. The position requires regular interaction with design teams, construction teams, and other technical disciplines involved in the project.


Main Responsibilities

Electrical Studies & Design

  • Design technical solutions adapted to the needs of industrial or infrastructure electrical projects.
  • Carry out design studies and contribute to technical decisions regarding installations.
  • Participate in the development of electrical architectures in line with operational and construction constraints.

Calculations & Sizing

  • Produce power balance calculations and perform the calculations required for preliminary sizing of installations.
  • Verify the technical consistency of electrical equipment and networks defined within the project scope.
  • Prepare technical notes and supporting documentation related to the studies.

Documentation Production

  • Develop electrical diagrams, layout drawings, and design documentation.
  • Prepare technical files intended for project and execution teams.
  • Update documentation according to technical modifications and project developments.

Technical Coordination

  • Work closely with construction teams to ensure proper consideration of site constraints.
  • Participate in technical discussions with the various project stakeholders.
  • Support the transition of studies into execution phases.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (Bac +2 to Bac +3) in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics, or an equivalent field.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in design and CAD tools (AutoCAD, SEE Electrical, Caneco, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of LV / MV electrical installations
  • Ability to perform electrical calculations and sizing analyses
  • Good command of reading and producing electrical schematics
  • Understanding of electrical design standards and best practices
