Context

As part of the development of our activities in the nuclear sector, we are looking for an Experienced Equipment Qualification Engineer to work on equipment qualification activities.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will contribute to qualification studies with a high level of autonomy. You will work in particular on control-command, mechanical, electrical, and ventilation equipment, while contributing to the structuring and deployment of qualification processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify qualification requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Participate in the selection of equipment meeting qualification requirements.
  • Verify compliance with applicable nuclear quality requirements for suppliers.
  • Monitor the manufacturing of qualification specimens in accordance with the requirements of the INB Order.
  • Develop and justify the qualification strategy according to technical parameters.
  • Draft and review qualification study documents: qualification plans, test procedures, test reports, analysis reports, NSQ, FMQ, etc.
  • Ensure the monitoring of laboratory tests and analyze the results.
  • Draft reports and ensure the monitoring of activities and actions.
  • Participate in internal and external technical meetings.
  • Draft the templates, instructions, and documents required to implement the qualification process.
  • Create and maintain a database of qualified equipment.
  • Provide technical proposals in the execution of qualification activities.
  • Support and provide technical supervision to junior team members.
  • Provide technical support in the preparation of responses to calls for tenders.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of nuclear equipment qualification processes.
  • Experience with control-command, mechanical, electrical, and ventilation equipment.
  • Good knowledge of the RCC-E, RCC-M, and IEC/IEEE 60780-323 codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of specific standards such as IEC 60980 and the IEC 61000 series.
  • Mastery of the complete qualification process: equipment and supplier selection, choice and justification of the method, definition of test sequences, and maintenance of qualification throughout the equipment’s service life.
  • Experience in functional qualification of control-command systems or software according to IEC 62671 is an advantage.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, minimum B2 level.

Candidate Profile

  • Engineering degree or equivalent education at Master’s level or higher.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience managing nuclear equipment qualification projects.
  • Proven experience independently conducting qualification studies.
  • Ability to take ownership of complex technical subjects and contribute to technical decisions.
  • Ability to support and technically supervise more junior profiles.
  • Ability to work with different disciplines and stakeholders in a demanding nuclear environment.
