Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and committed HSE Supervisor to ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environment are maintained on a major construction project in Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing daily site safety operations, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring full compliance with local regulations and international HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections and monitoring of site safety conditions to identify hazards and ensure a safe working environment
- Promote HSE awareness among field teams through toolbox talks, training sessions, and on-site guidance
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, project requirements, and applicable regulations
- Monitor and track incidents, near-misses, and unsafe acts, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Verify and control work permits (PTW system), ensuring all activities are properly authorized and risk-assessed
- Participate in risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA), and method statement reviews
- Coordinate with site supervisors and subcontractors to enforce safety measures across all activities
- Prepare and maintain accurate HSE reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly summaries
- Support emergency response planning and ensure readiness of safety equipment and procedures
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance across the site
Required Profile
- Degree or certification in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) or a related field
- Proven experience in HSE supervision on infrastructure or construction projects
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and site safety practices
- HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are a strong advantage
- Strong field presence with the ability to enforce rules and influence behavior
- Good communication and training skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced environment
- Working proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus)
