Context
As part of a drinking water treatment plant project in Ukraine, ProjecTTech is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Expert to ensure that engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities comply with project quality requirements, approved procedures, technical specifications, and applicable standards.
The Quality Assurance Expert will work closely with the project team, contractors, suppliers, and client representatives to implement and monitor the Project Quality Management System throughout the project life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, and monitor the Project Quality Assurance Plan and associated procedures.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, approved designs, and applicable quality standards.
- Review contractors’ and suppliers’ quality plans, procedures, inspection plans, and quality documentation.
- Conduct quality audits and monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor quality performance across engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Identify, document, and follow up on non-conformities until satisfactory closure.
- Coordinate quality-related activities with contractors, suppliers, engineering teams, and client representatives.
- Verify traceability and completeness of quality records, certificates, inspection reports, and project documentation.
- Monitor inspection and testing activities for equipment, materials, and installations.
- Support factory and site acceptance activities when required.
- Prepare regular quality reports, indicators, and compliance assessments.
- Support final documentation, commissioning, handover, and project close-out activities.
Technical skills
- Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles in engineering and construction projects.
- Good understanding of drinking water treatment plants and associated infrastructure.
- Knowledge of civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and automation quality requirements.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and ISO 9001 principles.
- Experience with quality plans, Inspection and Test Plans, audits, non-conformity management, and corrective actions.
- Ability to review technical specifications, drawings, procedures, certificates, and inspection records.
- Knowledge of equipment manufacturing, inspection, testing, and acceptance processes.
- Familiarity with international engineering, construction, and quality standards.
Candidate Profile
- Engineering degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Environmental Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control on infrastructure, water, or industrial projects.
- Previous experience on drinking water treatment plant projects is highly valued.
- Proven experience with contractors, suppliers, multidisciplinary engineering teams, and construction activities.
- Quality Management or ISO 9001 certification is an advantage.
- Experience in international projects and multicultural environments is preferred.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Availability to work on-site in Ukraine and start immediately.
