Context
We are seeking an experienced Senior ICT & ELV Engineer to join our engineering team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will lead the design and integration of advanced ICT and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for prestigious hospitality developments, ensuring seamless interoperability between building technologies and hotel operational platforms.
This role is suited to a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience delivering 5-star hospitality projects and a strong background in hotel automation, intelligent building systems, and integrated security solutions.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering design and integration of ICT and ELV systems for luxury hospitality developments.
- Develop and coordinate Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS), high-density Smart Wi-Fi, IPTV, master clock systems, and associated communication networks.
- Design and oversee critical security systems, including IP CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and structured cabling (VDI) infrastructure.
- Ensure seamless interoperability between room automation systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), and the hotel’s Property Management System (PMS).
- Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and specialist engineering teams to integrate ICT and ELV systems throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review technical submissions, specifications, shop drawings, and vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and international standards.
- Support system coordination, commissioning, testing, and final handover activities.
- Identify design risks, resolve coordination issues, and implement engineering solutions to optimize system performance.
- Ensure all ICT and ELV designs comply with applicable codes, client requirements, and Buro Happold engineering standards.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout design and delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in ICT and ELV engineering, with significant exposure to luxury hospitality developments.
- Proven experience delivering integrated building technology solutions within Tier-1 engineering consultancies or EPC contractors.
- Strong understanding of intelligent building systems, hotel automation, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Experience supporting projects from concept design through commissioning and handover.
Technical Skills
- Advanced expertise in 5-star hospitality Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS).
- Strong knowledge of hotel automation and intelligent building technologies.
- Extensive experience designing IP CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, IPTV, and structured cabling (VDI) systems.
- Advanced understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) integration.
- Expertise in communication protocols including BACnet, KNX, and Modbus.
- Strong knowledge of software-to-hardware integration and system interoperability.
- Familiarity with hospitality Property Management Systems (PMS) integration.
