Context
As part of a drinking water treatment plant project in Ukraine, ProjecTTech is seeking an experienced Team Leader to lead and coordinate the multidisciplinary project team.
The Team Leader will oversee the technical and operational execution of the project, ensuring effective coordination between engineering disciplines, contractors, stakeholders, and the client. The role requires strong experience in water treatment infrastructure and the ability to manage complex projects in an international environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the multidisciplinary project team throughout the project life cycle.
- Manage overall project execution in accordance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate engineering, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
- Supervise technical interfaces between civil, mechanical, electrical, process, instrumentation, and automation disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable drinking water quality requirements, technical standards, and project procedures.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and delays, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Coordinate activities with the client, contractors, consultants, local authorities, and other project stakeholders.
- Review and validate key technical deliverables, reports, schedules, and project documentation.
- Lead project meetings and ensure effective communication and reporting.
- Support testing, commissioning, performance verification, and handover of the treatment facilities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Technical skills
- Strong knowledge of drinking water treatment processes and associated infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of treatment technologies such as clarification, filtration, disinfection, chemical dosing, pumping, and sludge management.
- Experience in multidisciplinary engineering and construction coordination.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and civil interfaces.
- Strong project planning, risk management, cost control, and progress monitoring capabilities.
- Ability to review technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and contractor deliverables.
- Knowledge of international engineering and water quality standards.
- Proficiency with project management and reporting tools.
Candidate Profile
- Engineering degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Significant professional experience in water infrastructure projects, preferably drinking water treatment plants.
- Proven experience as a Team Leader, Project Manager, Project Director, or similar leadership position.
- Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
- Experience with large-scale or international infrastructure projects is highly valued.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and public-sector stakeholders.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Availability to work on-site in Ukraine and start immediately.
