Context
As part of transportation infrastructure projects, we are looking for a versatile CFO/CFA Design Engineer, capable of working on both the design phases and the technical follow-up during the construction phase.
The position requires a solid understanding of high-voltage/current (CFO) and low-voltage/current (CFA) electrical installations, as well as the ability to act as the interface between the design teams, construction teams, and the various project stakeholders.
Responsibilities & Duties
CFO/CFA Technical Studies
• Carry out electrical design studies for high-current (CFO) and low-current (CFA) systems.
• Analyze input data and the project’s technical requirements.
• Produce and verify drawings, single-line diagrams, technical notes, and construction documents.
• Participate in the sizing of electrical installations.
• Ensure that the studies comply with the applicable standards and specifications.
Construction Follow-up & Coordination
• Act as the interface between the design office and the construction teams.
• Participate in technical and coordination meetings.
• Monitor the progress of the work and report blocking issues.
• Verify the consistency between the completed design studies and the on-site installations.
• Participate in the management of punch list items and non-conformities.
Project Support
• Contribute to technical analyses and project decision-making.
• Provide support to the construction teams on CFO/CFA-related topics.
• Participate in updating technical documents according to construction progress.
• Provide technical reporting to the project managers.
Required Profile
• Master’s degree (Bachelor’s +5) in electrical engineering, electrotechnics, or equivalent.
• Experience in CFO/CFA electrical design studies.
• Experience in, or a strong interest in, technical construction follow-up.
• Versatile profile, capable of moving between the production/validation of design studies and on-site coordination.
• Experience on transportation, infrastructure, or SGP projects is a major advantage.
