Context

An international and well-established company operating in the energy sector is seeking a Finance Manager to be based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving financial performance across business activities in the Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee all financial operations including accounting, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and local Saudi regulations.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide analytical insights to management.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Track budget vs actual performance and analyze variances.
  • Support strategic planning with financial modelling and scenario analysis.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure compliance with Saudi tax regulations (ZATCA) and corporate policies.
  • Maintain strong internal control systems.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Manage cash flow planning and liquidity.
  • Oversee banking relationships and financial risk management.
  • Optimize working capital.

Business Support & Strategy

  • Act as a key financial business partner to operational teams.
  • Support decision-making with financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Participate in business planning and investment evaluation.

Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Professional certification preferred (CMA, CPA, ACCA).

Experience

  • 8–15 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting roles.
  • Experience in energy, oil & gas, utilities, or industrial sectors strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in multinational companies is an advantage.
  • Strong exposure to Saudi market regulations is required.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
