Context

As part of high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects, HV Substation Site Supervisors are involved in the construction, renovation, and extension of substations and high-voltage installations. The positions require experience in HV environments, with a specialization in civil engineering, structural steelwork, or high-voltage electrical systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Organize and manage construction activities on HV substation sites.

• Supervise construction teams and coordinate subcontractors.

• Ensure compliance with schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety requirements.

• Verify that completed works comply with drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.

• Participate in site meetings and provide progress reporting.

• Identify technical deviations and implement necessary corrective actions.

• Coordinate interfaces between the various technical disciplines (civil works, steel structures, and electrical works).

• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and regulations specific to HV environments.

• Participate in the acceptance, testing, and commissioning of installations.

Candidate Profile

• Technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Electrotechnics, Structural Steel Construction, or an equivalent field.

• Significant experience working on HV substation projects.

• Strong expertise in one of the following disciplines:

  • Civil Engineering,
  • Structural Steelwork,
  • High-Voltage Electrical Systems.

• Good understanding of the constraints and requirements associated with high-voltage substations.

• Willingness to travel nationwide depending on project needs.

• Ability to manage site teams and work effectively in a multi-stakeholder environment.

• Strong organizational skills, responsiveness, and attention to detail.

Technical Skills

• Supervision and coordination of HV substation construction works.

• Ability to read and interpret construction and execution drawings.

• Site management in high-voltage environments.

• Coordination of multiple technical disciplines and contractors.

• Monitoring of quality, safety, and construction progress.

• Knowledge of HSE procedures and access requirements specific to HV substations.
