Context
Support integration of new nodes and services into live telecom networks ensuring service continuity and compliance with design specifications. The Integration Engineer operates in complex, multi-technology environments involving RAN (2G/3G/4G/5G), Core, and Transmission/IP networks, and is responsible for ensuring seamless interoperability between network elements.
The role requires close coordination with design, field, and operations teams to align integration activities with deployment plans and operational constraints.
Responsibilities :
System Integration & Commissioning
- Integrate telecom equipment and systems (RAN, Core, Transmission) into the live network
- Perform configuration, commissioning, and activation of network elements
- Ensure proper interconnection between different network domains (radio, core, IP)
- Execute integration procedures in compliance with technical guidelines
Configuration & Validation
- Apply and validate configurations (parameters, scripts, software loads)
- Verify connectivity (IP, routing, signaling) and service availability
- Conduct pre-integration checks and post-integration validations
- Ensure consistency with design and engineering data
Testing & Acceptance
- Perform functional, performance, and interoperability tests
- Execute call tests, data sessions, and service validation (voice, data, signaling)
- Support site acceptance and network acceptance procedures
- Identify issues during testing and ensure resolution before handover
Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose integration issues (configuration errors, compatibility, connectivity)
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Work closely with Field Engineers, NOC, and vendors for issue resolution
- Escalate complex problems when needed
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with deployment, design, and operations teams
- Provide integration reports and technical feedback
- Track progress of integration activities across multiple sites
- Ensure documentation is updated after each integration phase
Profile Required:
- 5–8+ years in telecom integration
- Experience with multi-technology environments
Skills & Tools:
- Core Network: EPC, IMS, VoLTE
- Scripting (Shell, Python is a plus)
- Linux/Unix environments
