Context
Within network transformation and capacity expansion programs, the Network Engineer will contribute to the design, optimization, and performance improvement of core and access networks.

The role involves working on multi-technology environments including IP/MPLS, mobile core networks, and access networks (RAN & Transmission), with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and service quality. The Network Engineer collaborates closely with architecture, operations, and field teams to ensure alignment between network design, deployment, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities :

Network Design & Planning

  • Design and evolve core and access network architectures (IP/MPLS, Mobile Core, RAN, Transmission)
  • Perform capacity planning and network dimensioning based on traffic forecasts and growth targets
  • Define technical solutions aligned with performance, scalability, and redundancy requirements
  • Contribute to HLD/LLD documentation and technical specifications

Implementation & Integration

  • Support deployment of new network elements, features, and upgrades
  • Validate configurations and ensure compliance with design standards
  • Coordinate with field teams and vendors during rollout and integration phases
  • Participate in testing, commissioning, and acceptance processes

Performance & Optimization

  • Monitor network performance (throughput, latency, packet loss, availability)
  • Analyse KPIs and identify performance bottlenecks
  • Implement optimization actions to improve network efficiency and quality of service
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and capacity upgrades

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Diagnose and resolve complex network incidents (core, IP, transmission)
  • Provide L2/L3 support and root cause analysis
  • Work closely with NOC and operations teams to ensure service continuity
  • Escalate and follow up with vendors when needed

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Interface with cross-functional teams (architecture, operations, field, vendors)
  • Produce technical reports, documentation, and performance analysis
  • Participate in technical reviews and project follow-ups
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and quality standards

 Profile Required:

  • Engineering degree in Telecom/IT
  • 5–8+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong experience in operator or vendor environment

Skills & Tools:

  • Routing/Switching: Cisco, Juniper, Huawei
  • Protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLAN
  • Tools: Wireshark, SolarWinds, NetAct, U2000
