Context

As part of complex, high-CAPEX industrial projects, we are looking for a Senior OPC professional capable of managing the operational coordination of site interfaces, scheduling, and commissioning sequences in an EPC / EPCM environment.

The position requires a strong on-site presence and close coordination between the Client, Engineering/Project Management teams, contractors, and commissioning teams in highly concurrent work environments.

Main Responsibilities

OPC / Planning / Coordination

  • Develop and manage Level 3 master schedules and detailed Level 4 schedules.
  • Update schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Identify and analyze critical paths.
  • Anticipate schedule deviations and implement recovery plans.
  • Perform What-If analyses and schedule simulations.
  • Monitor contractual milestones and schedule adherence.
  • Lead OPC meetings and coordinate multi-package interfaces.
  • Produce site progress reports and performance indicators.
  • Analyze the impacts of delays, procurement issues, and site constraints.

Site Coordination & Execution

  • Ensure operational coordination of site activities in a multi-contractor environment.
  • Manage work areas with simultaneous activities and site flows (access, storage, logistics).
  • Coordinate interfaces between civil engineering, structures, roads and utilities (VRD), MEP, HVAC, utilities, and industrial process systems.
  • Act as the interface between the Client, Engineering/Project Management teams, contractors, and commissioning teams.
  • Ensure consistency between construction and commissioning sequences.

Commissioning / Start-Up

  • Participate in the coordination of testing and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor industrial commissioning and start-up sequences.
  • Track punch lists, outstanding items, and OPR (Operations Prior to Reception).
  • Coordinate interfaces between utilities, process systems, and equipment.
  • Adapt schedule management according to commissioning constraints.

Required Profile

  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in engineering, construction, or project management.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in OPC / coordination of complex industrial projects.
  • Mandatory experience during the construction execution phase.
  • Significant experience in an EPC / EPCM environment.
  • Proven experience in multi-package coordination and highly concurrent site environments.
  • Experience on large-scale, high-CAPEX industrial projects.
  • Experience in an international or multicultural environment is a plus.
