Context
As part of a greenfield industrial installation project carried out under an EPC model, the company is strengthening its contract management during the construction phase. This role operates in direct interface with construction teams, subcontractors, and the client, with a strong focus on contractual security, risk management, and claims control.
Main Responsibilities
Construction Contract Management
- Oversee the implementation of construction contracts (EPC, subcontracting, suppliers)
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations by all parties
- Interpret contractual clauses and support operational teams
Claims & Variations Management
- Identify, analyze, and manage claims
- Manage variation requests (scope, costs, deadlines)
- Prepare and defend claim files (justifications, schedule/cost impacts)
Contractual Risk Monitoring
- Identify contractual risks related to construction execution
- Implement mitigation strategies
- Raise alerts in case of deviations or contractual non-compliance
Project Interface
- Work closely with planning (OPC), construction, procurement, and legal teams
- Participate in progress meetings with the client and partners
- Ensure traceability of contractual communications (letters, notices, reservations)
Support to Construction Teams
- Advise site teams on day-to-day contract management
- Structure notifications (delays, unforeseen events, changes)
- Secure the company’s position in case of disputes
Reporting
- Produce regular reports on the contractual status of the project
- Track key indicators (claims, risks, financial deviations)
- Contribute to the overall contract strategy of the project
Profile
- Engineering, legal degree, or equivalent
- Experience in contract management on industrial or construction projects
- Good knowledge of EPC environments
Skills
- Strong understanding of contractual mechanisms (FIDIC, EPC, etc.)
- Experience in claims management and negotiation
- Good understanding of schedule and cost impacts
- Ability to work in a construction site environment
- Language: Professional English required
