Context

As part of the construction of a gigafactory for ProLogium, we are looking for an experienced Project Industrial Risk Engineer to support the integration of industrial safety and regulatory requirements from the design phase onwards.

Within the project teams, you will act as a reference person for risk management issues, particularly in an environment subject to ICPE and high-threshold Seveso regulations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Integrate industrial safety requirements into the design and development of installations.
  • Identify, analyze, and control industrial risks associated with processes and equipment.
  • Ensure that the regulatory requirements applicable to the project are taken into account.
  • Ensure compliance with the French Labour Code, ICPE regulations, and requirements related to high-threshold Seveso sites.
  • Participate in design reviews and challenge technical choices from a safety perspective.
  • Analyze equipment layout in order to integrate safety and risk prevention constraints.
  • Collaborate with engineering, process, construction, and QHSE teams.
  • Identify deviations and propose the necessary preventive measures or corrective actions.
  • Ensure the monitoring of safety requirements throughout the different phases of the project.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in industrial risks and process safety.
  • Mastery of requirements applicable to ICPE, essential.
  • Good knowledge of high-threshold Seveso regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of the French Labour Code and HSE requirements applicable to industrial installations.
  • Ability to analyze equipment layout and associated interfaces.
  • Mastery of risk prevention and reduction principles from the design stage.
  • Ability to work on complex and multidisciplinary industrial projects.

Candidate Profile

  • Higher education in engineering, with a background in chemistry preferred, or equivalent technical education.
  • More than 10 years of experience in HSE, industrial risks, or process safety.
  • Proven experience on complex industrial projects, ideally during the design or construction phase.
  • Experience in an ICPE environment essential.
  • Knowledge of high-threshold Seveso environments strongly expected.
  • Professional English essential to work in an international project context.
