Context

As part of development and infrastructure projects for public electrical works (public lighting, power supply networks, urban equipment, underground utility installation, and lighting/signaling systems), we are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Site Manager to oversee VRD (roadworks and utility networks) operations on site.

The role acts as the main site reference point and is responsible for coordinating teams, subcontractors, and all stakeholders to ensure proper execution of works in compliance with quality, safety, cost, and deadline requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, organize, and manage civil engineering and VRD works related to public electrical infrastructure.
  • Supervise site teams and coordinate subcontractors on site.
  • Monitor daily progress of works.
  • Organize site activities considering operational constraints, traffic conditions, and simultaneous work activities.
  • Ensure compliance with execution plans, technical standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Control the quality of completed works: trenches, buried networks, foundations, pull boxes, roads, and reinstatement works.
  • Ensure enforcement of safety regulations on site.
  • Participate in site meetings and provide reporting to the works manager or project manager.
  • Identify deviations, anticipate field difficulties, and propose corrective actions.
  • Manage material supply and resource requirements.
  • Participate in project handover and the resolution of outstanding issues (punch list).

Required Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Bac+2 to Bac+5) in Civil Engineering, Public Works, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing VRD or infrastructure construction sites.
  • Significant experience in public lighting projects, dry utility networks, or urban infrastructure works.
  • Strong experience in supervising site teams.
  • Good understanding of urban work constraints and traffic-flow environments.
  • Experience in multi-stakeholder, highly coordinated construction projects.
  • Ability to make operational decisions and manage on-site priorities.
