Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Expert – Data Center to support the successful delivery of mission-critical data center projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design and technical review to commissioning and operational readiness, ensuring compliance with international standards, high availability requirements, and industry best practices.
Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, clients, and project managers, you will ensure that all technical solutions deliver optimum performance, reliability, scalability, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of mission-critical data center facilities.
- Review and validate engineering designs, technical specifications, and construction documentation.
- Ensure compliance with international standards and industry best practices, including TIA-942, Uptime Institute, ANSI, ASHRAE, IEC, and NFPA.
- Evaluate electrical, mechanical, HVAC, cooling, fire protection, and building management systems.
- Support the development of resilient, scalable, and energy-efficient infrastructure solutions.
- Coordinate technical activities with design consultants, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
- Participate in design reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical guidance throughout project execution and resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Monitor technical performance, project quality, and schedule compliance.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering recommendations, and client presentations.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives focused on sustainability, operational resilience, and energy efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in data center engineering or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale data center projects.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
- Strong knowledge of international engineering standards and mission-critical facility requirements.
- Professional certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, ATD, Uptime Institute ATS/ATD, or equivalent are considered a strong advantage.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

- Strong expertise in mission-critical data center infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical distribution systems (MV/LV, UPS, generators, switchgear).
- Expertise in HVAC, precision cooling, and thermal management systems.
- Knowledge of fire detection and suppression systems.
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM).
- Understanding of structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Familiarity with redundancy architectures (N, N+1, 2N, 2N+1).
- Knowledge of commissioning methodologies and integrated systems testing.
- Strong technical documentation and engineering reporting skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
