Electrical Engineer (J26-312)

Context:

We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the operation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical systems within a modern steel melting shop.

The role is critical to ensuring high availability and reliability of power-intensive equipment such as EAF, LRF, and CCM.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure reliable operation of electrical systems associated with:

  • EAF (Electric Arc Furnace)
  • LRF (Ladle Refining Furnace)
  • CCM (Continuous Casting Machine)
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, breakdowns, and performance issues
  • Monitor and maintain high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), and low-voltage (LV) systems
  • Support planned maintenance shutdowns and commissioning activities
  • Improve system reliability and contribute to downtime reduction initiatives

Collaborate closely with:

  • Automation teams
  • Maintenance teams
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and plant procedures

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience: 3 to 8 years in heavy industry or steel plants
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • EAF / LRF
  • Or similar high-power industrial systems
  • Experience in continuous casting environments is a plus

Core Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems
  • Solid understanding of HV / MV / LV distribution systems
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities
  • Ability to work in a shift-based industrial environment
  • Strong coordination and communication skills
