Context
As part of commercial building projects, we are looking for an HVAC Draftsman / BIM Modeler specialized in BIM modeling using Revit MEP. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing digital models and construction drawings related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and smoke extraction systems.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Produce 3D models of HVAC installations based on DWG drawings, technical markups, and design documents.
- Create BIM models of plant rooms and HVAC equipment.
- Model chilled water piping networks, ventilation ductwork, and smoke extraction systems.
- Prepare and update 2D drawings and details using AutoCAD.
- Translate chilled water production and distribution single-line diagrams, as well as ventilation system diagrams, into BIM models.
- Ensure the consistency and quality of the produced BIM models.
- Participate in technical coordination with the various project disciplines.
Required Profile
- Technical qualification in HVAC Engineering, Building Services Engineering, BIM, or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Draftsman / BIM Modeler.
- Good knowledge of commercial building projects.
- Ability to work independently using BIM modeling tools.
- Good understanding of HVAC installation constraints and equipment accessibility requirements.
Key Skills
- Reading and interpretation of 2D drawings and BIM models.
- Understanding of chilled water production and distribution single-line diagrams.
- Understanding of ventilation and smoke extraction system diagrams.
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment and network installation principles.
- Good communication skills in French and/or English depending on the projects.
