Context

As part of a sensitive project on the SMR site in Aulnay, involving HVAC and electrical packages, the company is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to secure contractual management during the execution phase.
Since the site is not accessible by public transportation, logistical autonomy is essential.

The stakes are high: complex coordination of technical packages, frequent changes, strong scheduling constraints, and a significant need for contractual structuring to prevent disputes and control the impact of deviations.


Main Responsibilities

Contract management during the execution phase

  • Review contracts and identify key commitments related to HVAC and electrical packages.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations on site, working directly with the construction teams.

  • Anticipate risks (schedule, compliance, scope) and recommend necessary actions.

  • Formalize essential communications: notifications, reservations, and substantiated letters.

Claims and deviation management

  • Identify points of divergence: additional work, unforeseen technical constraints, delays.

  • Prepare complete claim files: technical analysis, cost estimation, contractual justification.

  • Participate in negotiations and defend the company’s interests with clients and subcontractors.

  • Ensure thorough traceability of requests, statuses, decisions, and impacts.

Follow-up of amendments and scope changes

  • Define, document, and negotiate necessary project amendments.

  • Assess impacts on deadlines, costs, and the workload of HVAC/electrical teams.

  • Ensure clean, up-to-date, and easily auditable contractual documentation.

Operational support on site

  • Work closely with construction teams to clarify contractual issues related to technical decisions.

  • Provide direct support in managing sensitive situations: non-conformities, unforeseen events, blockages.

  • Occasional participation in site coordination meetings.

Reporting and contractual steering

  • Provide management with clear reporting: risks, deviations, ongoing claims, amendments.

  • Implement tracking tools adapted to the short duration and fast pace of the project.

  • Contribute to securing the project financially by identifying protection or compensation opportunities.


Profile:

  • Proven experience in contract management on technical projects, ideally HVAC/electrical.

  • Excellent understanding of construction challenges and on-site constraints.

  • Demonstrated expertise in claim management and contractual negotiation.

  • Ability to produce precise, structured, and legally sound contractual documents.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to firmly defend the company’s interests.

  • Rigorous in document management, deadline control, and priority handling.

  • Essential autonomy (site not accessible by public transportation).

  • Availability for a short, intense, results-oriented assignment.
