Context
As part of railway projects under project management supervision (execution monitoring), specialized railway track professionals are involved to support the execution, control, and compliance of works on infrastructures such as new lines or modernization projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise railway track works on site
- Ensure compliance of completed works (track laying, ballast, sleepers, rails)
- Verify adherence to execution plans and technical specifications
- Participate in site meetings and coordinate with various stakeholders
- Monitor work progress and report deviations (quality, cost, schedule)
- Identify non-conformities and propose corrective actions
- Participate in acceptance operations and testing (track geometry, leveling, alignment)
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and site procedures
- Prepare monitoring reports, meeting minutes, and technical documentation
Profile Required
- Engineering degree or equivalent in civil engineering / public works
- Experience in railway projects, ideally in construction or project supervision (MOE)
- Strong knowledge of railway track works (installation, renewal, maintenance)
- Ability to work in a site environment
- Analytical mindset, rigor, and autonomy
- Good interpersonal skills for multi-stakeholder coordination
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of railway track components (rails, sleepers, ballast)
- Mastery of track laying methods and track geometry control
- Ability to read and understand execution drawings
- Quality monitoring and technical control of works
- Knowledge of HSE constraints in a railway environment
Tools

- CAD tools / drawing review (AutoCAD or equivalent)
- Track measurement instruments (depending on project: leveling, geometry)
