Context
As part of a greenfield industrial installation project carried out under an EPC model, the company is strengthening its project management framework to ensure effective planning and overall coordination. The OPC Engineer plays a central role in ensuring consistency between engineering, procurement, and construction activities within a multi-stakeholder environment.
Main Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and structure the project schedule (engineering, procurement, construction)
- Define execution sequences and critical paths
- Update and ensure the reliability of the schedule based on actual progress
- Anticipate deviations and propose adjustment scenarios
Project Coordination
- Ensure consistency between different technical packages (process, mechanical, electrical, etc.)
- Coordinate interfaces between engineering, procurement, and construction phases
- Participate in project steering meetings and lead planning discussions
Progress Monitoring
- Consolidate physical and documentation progress
- Analyze schedule deviations (delays, impacts, risks)
- Produce monitoring indicators (S-curves, KPIs, key milestones)
Risk & Schedule Management
- Identify schedule risks and propose action plans
- Monitor blocking points (procurement, interfaces, resources)
- Contribute to securing contractual deadlines
Reporting
- Prepare project reports for management and the client
- Provide a clear and concise overview of overall progress
- Support communication between stakeholders
Profile
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Experience in planning / OPC for industrial or infrastructure projects
- Good understanding of EPC project environments
- Ability to work in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Skills
- Proficiency in planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Strong technical understanding of industrial projects
- Ability to read and understand construction sequences
- Analytical skills and ability to anticipate scheduling risks
- Language: Professional English required
