Context:
The Smart City Systems & ICT Integration Engineer is responsible for the deployment, integration, and operation of smart city technologies and digital infrastructure systems.
The role ensures seamless connectivity between ICT networks, urban platforms, and city-wide systems to support efficient, resilient, and scalable smart city operations.
Technical Responsibilities
- ICT Infrastructure Deployment
Deploy and support ICT infrastructure including:
- Fiber optic networks
- 5G and LTE systems
- WiFi networks (public & private)
- IoT communication networks
- Ensure network availability, scalability, and performance across smart city zones
- Systems Integration
- Integrate multi-domain systems including:
- IoT platforms
- Transport management systems
- Security and surveillance systems
- Energy and utility systems
- Ensure interoperability between different smart city subsystems
- Support API integration and data exchange between platforms
- Smart City Platform Deployment
- Deploy urban digital platforms and smart city applications
- Support implementation of centralized command & control systems
- Contribute to digital twin and city management platforms
- Monitoring & Operations
- Develop and manage operational dashboards
- Support smart city command centers and real-time monitoring systems
- Monitor system performance, availability, and incident response
- Testing & Validation
- Perform system testing including:
- Performance testing
- Load and scalability testing
- Resilience and failover validation
- Validate system readiness before commissioning
- Ensure compliance with technical and operational requirements

Profile Requirements
Experience
- 5 to 10 years of experience in ICT, telecom, or systems engineering
- Experience in smart city, infrastructure, or large-scale digital projects preferred
Education
Bachelor’s degree in:
- Telecommunications Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Information Technology
- Systems Engineering or related field
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure and telecom networks
- Experience in system integration and multi-platform environments
- Knowledge of IoT ecosystems and smart city architectures
- Familiarity with command & control systems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex integrated systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
