Context

As part of district heating network development and expansion projects, we are seeking a District Heating Network Engineer to ensure technical and operational follow-up of projects from design phases through to construction execution.

The role combines technical coordination, site supervision, scheduling management, and reporting in a multi-stakeholder environment.

Main Responsibilities

Technical project follow-up

• Ensure technical follow-up of district heating and thermal distribution network projects.
• Review and approve execution studies carried out by various stakeholders.
• Verify compliance of plans, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Participate in technical decisions related to distribution infrastructure.

Construction coordination

• Monitor construction works for buried networks and associated equipment.
• Coordinate companies involved in earthworks, civil engineering, piping, and welding.
• Ensure follow-up of client connections and substations.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Project management

• Monitor deployment schedules and work progress.
• Produce technical and operational reports.
• Participate in cost tracking and project risk identification.
• Propose corrective actions when deviations occur.

Quality control & commissioning

• Supervise quality controls related to welding and piping operations.
• Monitor hydraulic tests and commissioning trials.
• Verify compliance of completed works prior to handover.
• Participate in acceptance procedures and punch-list clearance.

Stakeholder coordination

• Act as interface between project management, operators, local authorities, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Participate in coordination and progress meetings.
• Ensure proper flow of information between project stakeholders.

Required Profile

• Engineering degree (energy engineering, thermal engineering, civil engineering, hydraulics / HVAC / CVC or equivalent).
• First experience in construction supervision or project management is an asset.
• Experience in district heating networks, buried networks, or energy infrastructure is appreciated.
• Good understanding of construction environments and technical interfaces.
• Interest in energy infrastructure projects and thermal networks.
• District heating construction engineer.
• Industrial piping engineer.
• HVAC engineer with hydraulic network experience.
• District heating project manager.
• Civil engineering engineer focused on utility networks.
• Energy works project manager.
• Engineer for buried networks (steam, hot water, etc.).

• Microsoft Project or equivalent.
• AutoCAD.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
