Context
As part of the strengthening of our activities in the nuclear sector, we are looking for a Project Buyer to join a project team and manage all purchasing activities related to industrial projects. As a true partner to the Project Manager, you ensure the economic performance of purchasing, risk control, compliance with deadlines and security of supplies.

Main Responsibilitie

• Manage all project purchasing activities (materials and subcontracting).
• Participate in the launch of projects and ensure the transfer of the costing file to execution.
• Define and implement purchasing strategies in coordination with the Project Manager and the Purchasing Department.
• Structure consultations, launch calls for tender (RFI, RFQ), analyze bids and recommend suppliers.
• Define and develop the supplier panel according to purchasing categories.
• Negotiate technical and economic conditions, draft and negotiate subcontracting contracts and framework agreements.
• Ensure the contractual, budgetary and operational monitoring of suppliers.
• Monitor expenses and manage the project purchasing budget.
• Prepare and negotiate any claims and counterclaims with the Contract Management and Legal teams.
• Contribute to costing during the bidding phase.
• Conduct market monitoring and be a driving force for optimization opportunities.

 

Technical Skills
• Experience in industrial project purchasing in the nuclear or industrial sector.
• Good knowledge of piping, valves and associated materials.
• Strong skills in contractual negotiation and technical purchasing.
• Proficiency in tendering processes and supplier management.
• Knowledge of the nuclear environment and ISO 19443 standard.
• Good understanding of quality, cost, schedule and risk issues.
• Professional English essential (minimum B2 level, written and spoken).

Candidate Profile
• Master’s degree (Engineering School or Master’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain or equivalent).
• Intermediate to senior experience (5 to 15 years) in project purchasing.
• Mandatory experience in the nuclear and/or industrial sectors.
• Technical profile with the ability to support technical decisions and coordinate stakeholders.
• French nationality required due to access constraints for the position.
