Context
As part of highly technical industrial and energy projects, the Senior Civil Engineering Design Expert acts as a technical reference throughout the entire project lifecycle. They ensure the quality of structural decisions, oversee complex studies, and play a key role in technical coordination and team support.
Missions
Complex Technical Studies

Carry out or lead design and execution studies: advanced calculations, 3D modelling, complex structural sizing.

Validate design assumptions, calculation methodologies, and proposed structural solutions.

Ensure compliance with standards (Eurocodes, seismic regulations, DTU) and regulatory requirements.
Technical Expertise & Validation

Act as a technical reference for internal and external teams.

Secure structural decisions on strategic projects.
-
Perform technical reviews of deliverables: calculation notes, drawings, written documents.
Coordination & Technical Management

Collaborate with architects, geotechnicians, fluid specialists, methods teams, and contractors.

Participate in technical meetings and contribute to structural decisions.

Act as a partial technical authority for engineering analyses and decisions.
Team Leadership & Support

Supervise or support junior and mid-level design engineers.

Share best practices, calculation methods, and structural principles with clarity and pedagogy.

Contribute to the skill development of design office teams.
Project Coordination

Interact with architects, geotechnicians, AMO representatives, industrial clients, and construction companies.

Participate in design, coordination, and technical arbitration meetings.

Contribute to structural choices and strategic technical decisions.
Tendering & Technical Development

Participate in tender phases and analysis of technical solutions.

Propose optimizations, structural alternatives, and innovations.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of methods and calculation tools.
Desired Profile
Education & Experience
-
Master’s degree (Bac+5) in civil engineering (engineering school or equivalent university degree).
-
Minimum 10 years of experience in major heavy civil engineering structures: industry, energy, nuclear.

Proven experience in a design office or on highly technical projects.
Technical Skills
-
Expertise in reinforced concrete calculations, load path analysis, stability analysis, and advanced modelling.
