High-Current Estimator – High Voltage (M/F) (J25-308)

by PROJECTTECH ENGINEERING

Location: Île-de-France
Start date: As soon as possible
Sector: Infrastructure & Construction – HV/LV Electricity

Context:
As part of the development of activities related to High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical installations, we are looking for a High-Current Estimator – HV/LV capable of carrying out the technical analysis and full cost estimation of industrial and electrical infrastructure projects.
The position requires solid expertise in electrical sizing, standards, and economic evaluation of works, in collaboration with internal teams (design, construction, purchasing) and suppliers.

Main Responsibilities

1. File analysis and requirements definition

  • Study specifications, drawings, single-line diagrams, technical notes, and written documents (CCTP, DPGF, RC).

  • Identify technical constraints: voltage levels, network connection, protection systems, energy evacuation, applicable standards.

  • Define sizing assumptions: HV, MV, LV, main switchboards, transformers, switchgear, HV substations, protection systems.

2. Costing and offer preparation

  • Carry out full estimates: equipment, labor, subcontracting, logistics, special means.

  • Consolidate and analyze supplier quotations; optimize technical and economic choices.

  • Use internal databases, industry ratios, and costing tools.

  • Build the project budget: price structure, margins, risks, alternatives.

  • Prepare offer documents: technical proposal, preliminary schedule, detailed budget.

3. Internal coordination

  • Work closely with project managers, design offices, construction teams, purchasing, and methods departments.

  • Participate in internal technical and financial reviews of offers.

  • Ensure clear handover of the file to the Construction teams in case of award.

4. External relations

  • Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain optimized solutions.

  • Participate in site visits, clarification meetings, and technical presentations.

  • Understand and integrate client expectations into proposals.

5. Monitoring and continuous improvement

  • Follow developments in HV/LV standards and technologies (equipment, network solutions, protection systems).

  • Contribute to the improvement of internal databases (prices, ratios, feedback).

Desired Profile

  • Education: 2–5-year degree (Bac+2 to Bac+5) in electricity, electrotechnics, energy, or equivalent.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years in HV/LV cost estimation, design, or construction.

  • Ideally, experience in an electrical construction company (FAYAT, SPIE, VINCI, Eiffage, etc.).

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • High-current, HV/MV, LV

    • Main switchboards, transformers, switchgear, delivery substations

    • Protection systems, selectivity, network connection

  • Mastery of standards and regulations: NFC 13-100, NFC 13-200, NFC 15-100, ENEDIS, GRDF, electrical transmission.

  • Ability to read and analyze plans/diagrams (AutoCAD, GIS, electrical schematics).

  • Mastery of costing and cost management tools.

  • Ability to write structured technical proposals.

  • Level: technical role with partial decision-making responsibility (engineer / supervisor).

Behavioral Skills

  • Technical rigor and attention to detail.

  • Analytical ability and critical thinking.
