Context:
As part of commercial development and the management of a client portfolio, we are looking for a Business Engineer capable of prospecting, negotiating, retaining clients, and ensuring the contractual follow-up of a range of technical services.
The position combines commercial, contractual, and financial responsibilities with an operational coordination role.
Objective: Increase revenue, ensure commitments are met, and maintain long-term client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Business Development

  • Prospect new clients: industrial, tertiary sector, co-ownerships, local authorities, landlords, etc.

  • Identify client needs and propose appropriate technical solutions.

  • Prepare commercial offers (maintenance, works, modernization, services).

  • Conduct presentations, defend proposals, and negotiate contracts.

  • Develop the existing portfolio and identify growth opportunities.

2. Portfolio & Contract Management

  • Ensure contractual, administrative, and financial follow-up of a client portfolio.

  • Monitor key performance indicators: profitability, conversion rates, operational performance.

  • Prepare and lead client account reviews.

  • Manage disputes, complaints, and contractual issues.

  • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and maintain long-term relationships.

3. Operational Coordination
Close collaboration with:

  • Technical managers / sector managers

  • Technicians, project managers, site engineers

  • Back-office, sales support

  • Technical management or agency management

Operational role:

  • Contribute to sizing and planning of services.

  • Verify the technical and contractual compliance of sold operations.

  • Ensure consistency between client needs, technical feasibility, and operational capacity.

4. Safety / Quality – Technical Skills

  • Understanding of technical installations (electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, HVAC, elevators depending on the sector).

  • Ability to read plans and communicate with technical teams.

  • Proficiency in the B2B sales cycle (analysis, proposal, negotiation, closing).

  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.

Profile sought

  • Degree: Engineer, Master’s (Bac+5) in technical or commercial field with strong technical interest.

  • Experience: 2 to 5 years in business management, commercial development, industrial maintenance, construction, facility management, or technical equipment.

  • Enjoys fieldwork and client interaction.

  • Mobility according to commercial area (regular travel).
