Context
As part of a strategic project in a nuclear environment, we are looking for a Civil Works Engineer – MOEX (Construction Supervision for Execution) to ensure the execution monitoring of civil engineering works on facilities with stringent technical and regulatory requirements.
As a member of a construction supervision team, you will oversee on-site operations, coordinate contractors, and ensure the compliance of civil engineering works while meeting safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities & Duties
Civil Engineering Work Supervision
- Ensure the execution monitoring of civil engineering works on the construction site.
- Supervise formwork, reinforcement, concrete pouring, and reinforced concrete operations.
- Verify the compliance of the works with the engineering studies, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Identify deviations and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
MOEX Coordination
- Act as the interface between the project management team, contractors, and the various project stakeholders.
- Participate in site meetings and follow up on agreed actions.
- Coordinate the activities of the different construction trades.
- Ensure compliance with the project schedule and objectives.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Monitor compliance with quality requirements and site procedures.
- Ensure the application of safety rules specific to nuclear environments.
- Participate in inspections, technical controls, and acceptance operations.
- Monitor non-conformities and the clearance of punch list items.
Reporting & Project Control
- Prepare work progress reports.
- Monitor cost, schedule, and quality performance indicators.
- Raise alerts regarding technical or organizational risks.
- Contribute to effective coordination between the design teams, construction teams, and the client.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Successful initial experience in civil engineering work supervision within a nuclear environment.
- Good knowledge of concrete pouring, formwork, and reinforcement works.
- Previous experience in MOEX (Construction Supervision for Execution) is mandatory.
- Experience in heavy industry is an asset if combined with construction supervision assignments under project management.
- French nationality is mandatory due to project requirements.
- A clean criminal record is required for site access.
