Context:

Reporting to the Project Support Office within the Project Directorate, you will manage the financial control of a portfolio of industrial investment projects. The position is embedded in a highly regulated environment aligned with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, SEVESO III Directive, ISRS, and internal QHSE frameworks.

You will oversee the full project lifecycle: development, operations, and maintenance of high-safety industrial facilities.


Main Responsibilities:

Budget Management:

  • Consolidate and ensure reliability of project portfolio budgets.

  • Monitor Estimate at Completion (EAC), risk provisions, and year-end adjustments.

  • Update budget forecasts aligned with project schedules (MS Project).

  • Propose corrective financial actions in case of variances.

Procurement & Purchase Management:

  • Prepare and process purchase orders via ARIBA, in line with internal procurement policies.

  • Track goods receipt, invoicing, payment schedules, and resolve disputes.

  • Maintain accurate cost-tracking files.

Hours & Service Tracking:

  • Ensure completeness of timesheets vs workload plans.

  • Manage service contracts (timesheets, remaining workload, deliverables tracking).

Commissioning & Capitalization:

  • Prepare project capitalization and commissioning files.

  • Allocate indirect costs in line with analytical accounting rules.

Reporting & Project Governance:

  • Produce monthly cost reports for Project Directors, Project Managers, and Finance.

  • Issue budget alerts in case of deviations.

  • Act as an interface between project management, CAPEX control, and PMO.

Cross-functional Analysis:

  • Build advanced tracking dashboards and custom queries.

  • Conduct ad hoc cost analysis upon request from management.


Profile:

  • Master’s degree (engineering, business, or equivalent university background) with a focus in project management or financial control.

  • 5–6 years of experience in cost control within complex industrial projects.

Required Tools:

  • ARIBA (procurement & purchasing).

  • MS Project (project scheduling).

  • Advanced Excel (complex formulas, Power Query, pivot tables).

  • Power BI (a plus).

Languages:

  • Fluent in French, and strong professional English (oral and written), especially for interactions with international engineering teams.
