Job Context
Within a fast-evolving technological environment, the company develops an ecosystem of electronic products supported by a range of accessories designed to enhance the user experience and strengthen the overall product value proposition.
The Accessories Product Manager is responsible for defining, developing, and managing this accessories portfolio. The role operates at the intersection of Product, R&D, Design, Marketing, Supply Chain, and industrial partners to ensure the consistency of the offering and the commercial performance of the accessories range.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Roadmap
- Analyse market trends, user behaviours, and customer needs.
- Define the product strategy for the accessories portfolio.
- Build and manage the product roadmap aligned with the lifecycle of the core electronic products.
- Identify opportunities for new accessories and prioritize development initiatives.
- Ensure consistency between accessories and the overall product ecosystem.
Product Development
- Write functional and technical specifications for accessories.
- Lead product development projects with internal teams (R&D, design, industrialization) and external industrial partners.
- Oversee the different project phases:
- concept development
- prototyping
- validation
- industrialization
- Ensure compliance with quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
- Guarantee product compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Product Launch and Performance Monitoring
- Prepare product launches in coordination with marketing, sales, and logistics teams.
- Contribute to defining product positioning, pricing strategy, and sales forecasts.
- Monitor commercial performance and profitability of the accessories portfolio.
- Implement and track performance indicators (sales, margin, customer satisfaction).
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Identify opportunities for functional or design improvements.
- Leverage customer feedback, after-sales data, and usage insights.
- Propose new accessory concepts or innovative use cases.
- Contribute to the optimization of internal product development processes.
Candidate Profile
Education
Master’s degree (Bac +5 equivalent) in:
- Engineering
- Industrial Design
- Product Management
Examples:
Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Connected Products or related fields.
Experience
- Proven experience in product development with international industrial partners.
- Experience working with electronic products and technology accessories.
- Strong understanding of product development and industrialization cycles.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of environments such as:
- Consumer electronics
- Plastics / injection moulding
- Connectivity and connected products (IoT)
- Design-to-cost methodologies
- Good command of product and project management tools:
- JIRA
- PLM systems
- Excel and analytical tools
- Understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) processes.
