Context
As part of the development of our activities in the energy and Waste-to-Energy (WtE) sector, we are looking for a WtE Mechanical / Process Site Engineer to support site execution activities.
The role focuses on supervising the installation of mechanical and process equipment, ensuring technical compliance, managing site interfaces, and supporting the project through pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation and erection of mechanical and WtE process equipment on site.
- Monitor works related to boilers, flue gas treatment systems, turbines, and material handling equipment.
- Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate technical interfaces between subcontractors and engineering teams.
- Identify and resolve technical issues affecting site execution.
- Participate in inspections and equipment acceptance activities.
- Provide technical support during pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, and start-up.
- Monitor progress and report technical issues or deviations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE requirements during site activities.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in mechanical installation and industrial process equipment.
- Good knowledge of Waste-to-Energy processes and equipment.
- Knowledge of boilers, turbines, flue gas treatment, and material handling systems.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Good understanding of mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation interfaces.
- Proven experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
Candidate Profile
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Process, Energy Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical/process site supervision on complex industrial projects.
- Significant experience with subcontractor supervision and multidisciplinary site coordination.
- Waste-to-Energy or similar industrial experience is highly valued.
