Context
As part of expanding its activities in vertical transportation equipment, the company is strengthening its sales team and recruiting a Business Development Engineer – Works.
The role involves driving the commercial development of projects related to the installation or modernization of elevators and escalators. The Business Development Engineer is involved throughout the entire sales process, from identifying opportunities to contract finalization, while working closely with technical and operational teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development

Identify and pursue new project opportunities within the assigned geographic area

Develop relationships with key construction stakeholders: developers, project managers, engineering firms, and general contractors

Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients
Offer Management

Analyze client needs and define the most suitable technical solutions

Prepare commercial and technical proposals in collaboration with internal teams

Participate in tenders and bidding processes

Lead commercial negotiations and finalize contractual agreements
Project Follow-up

Take part in project kick-off phases with site teams

Ensure proper handover of technical and commercial information to operational teams

Monitor project progress through to completion
Internal Coordination

Work closely with technical departments, site teams, and support functions

Ensure smooth communication between all stakeholders
Activity Monitoring

Track commercial performance indicators related to activities

Update internal tracking tools

Report regularly on business progress to management
The position involves regular travel to meet clients and visit project sites.
Profile Required

Master’s degree (Bac+5) from an engineering school, business school, or a technical background with a commercial focus

Experience in technical solution sales, ideally in sectors such as building equipment, elevators, construction, or technical industries

Ability to understand technical challenges, structure complex proposals, and interact with various stakeholders in project environments
