Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Equipment Engineer to oversee the specification, selection, integration and performance of equipment across a large-scale infrastructure project.
The role involves ensuring that all equipment meets technical, operational and contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle, from design to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Define technical specifications for equipment based on project requirements.
- Review and validate vendor proposals, technical documents and datasheets.
- Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluation and supplier selection.
- Ensure proper integration of equipment within the overall project design.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction and commissioning teams.
- Monitor equipment installation, testing and commissioning activities.
- Identify technical risks related to equipment and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes and project specifications.
- Provide technical support during project execution and handover phases.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related field).
- Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience.
- At least 5 years in a similar Equipment Engineer role on large-scale projects.
- Strong experience in infrastructure, industrial or complex engineering projects.
- Proven experience in equipment specification, procurement and integration.
- Relevant technical certifications are considered an advantage.
- Experience in international project environments is preferred.
