Context
As part of the expansion of engineering office activities related to high-voltage electrical infrastructure (HV), we are looking for an Engineering Office Manager capable of leading technical teams and supervising complex projects.
The position involves managing multidisciplinary teams as well as overseeing the technical, organizational, and financial aspects of engineering studies.
Main Responsibilities
Management & Organization
- Lead and coordinate a team of around 10 employees (draftsmen, designers, and study engineers).
- Organize workload distribution and adjust resources according to project needs.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and skills development of team members.
- Identify subcontracting and temporary staffing needs based on workload plans.
Engineering Study Management
- Supervise engineering studies for HV projects and related infrastructure.
- Ensure the technical quality of deliverables and compliance with internal standards.
- Monitor study schedules and budgets.
- Identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
Technical Coordination & Client Relations
- Act as the main technical point of contact for clients and partners.
- Participate in technical decisions and design optimizations.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals and study schedules.
- Ensure activity reporting and monitoring of performance indicators.
Continuous Improvement & Expertise
- Ensure compliance with engineering processes and quality requirements.
- Contribute to the improvement of methods, tools, and engineering office practices.
- Maintain technical, regulatory, and standards monitoring.
- Contribute to the development of innovative technical solutions.
Required Profile
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
- Proven experience managing technical engineering office teams.
- Experience in one of the following fields:
- High Voltage / Low Voltage (HV/LV)
- Civil Engineering
- Structural Steelwork
- Experience in infrastructure and/or energy environments is highly valued.
